From Badu's, "Didn't Cha Know?" to Common's, "The Light" to A Tribe Called Quests, "Find A Way", Dilla's music is truly that of a generation. His work with D'Angelo, Busta Rhymes, The Pharcyde, Slum Village and even Janet Jackson further reveal and solidify the impact of his musical gift. The J Dilla Tribute features a live band, complete with horns and samplers, reproducing some of J Dilla's best work with accompanying vocals by heros like Kev Brown, Raheem Devaugn, Wes Felton, Wayna and a Dilla-centric talent i.e. Phife (2009), Pete Rock & Kweli (2008, XM Studios Discussion), Dwele (2007), Slum Village (2006). The 2010 Goal is $10,000.00, so support us with a tax-deductible donation as we celebrate the music and life of J Dilla and raise much needed funds for the J Dilla and The Lupus Foundations. Rock On!! One Love.
